Local SEO Strategy
For KBB Retailers
Your KBB business needs to be found online. Our expertise just made this a whole lot easier.
Whether you’re a premium retailer of bespoke fitted bedrooms, or a high street designer of modern bathrooms, your business is being found online… or not.
Lead Wolf use a number of strategies that in time will help you reach the top of the rankings:
Real World Example
Here you can see an example of a Lead Wolf client Colour House Interiors, based in Caterham, Surrey. The business launched in mid 2021 and was competing for rankings against well established businesses and national retailers, as well as platforms like Houzz. Now they are dominating the local SERP (Search Engine Results Page) for the key term ‘Kitchen Showroom Caterham.’
They rank in the SERP feature ‘Find results on’ in positions one and two. They rank position three in the local map and position one in natural search. Their combined CTR (Click Through Rate) is significant, as a higher ranking position translates to more clicks on the website. This consequentially allows them to capture more leads.
What Difference do Rankings Make to Site Traffic and Leads?
The position you are on the Search Engine Results Page (the page you see when you click search having entered a query into the search box) has a significant impact on the the number of visitors your site will receive. This is because the Click Through Rate varies hugely with SERP position. Here is how this affects your rankings:
- According to extensive research by Backlinko, the average CTR for position one on the SERP is 27.6%, position three is 11% and position ten just 2.4%.
- Example: If there are 100 monthly searches for a given search term you rank 10th for, you are getting 2.4 clicks per month, and the business in position one is getting 27.6 clicks per month. This means they are getting more than eleven times as many visitors.
- If each 20 visitors to this site results in one lead, the business in position 1 is receiving 17 leads per year from this single, low volume search term. If you extrapolate this across a basket of 10-15 search terms, you can see how those who win at search are able to generate more leads than those who don’t focus on it.
Local SEO for Kitchen and Bath Retailers
Thanks to our years of experience in both the KBB industry and digital marketing, we are able to identify highly relevant local keywords that align with the search habits of your target audience:
- Keyword Research: By analysing search volume, competition, and user intent, we can uncover new opportunities to rank in your specific area as well as surrounding areas.
- Local Targeting: By targeting localised keywords, we ensure your business appears in front of customers actively searching for services nearby.
- Creating Pages: We then create optimised pages for these keywords, enhancing your visibility in local searches and driving more qualified traffic to your website—turning searches into showroom visits and sales.
- Location Pages: We also specialise in creating location pages, which help you attract leads from nearby towns and cities to widen your reach.
Backlink Building for Higher Rankings
Alongside optimising your website itself for local SEO, we also increase your rankings by building out your backlink profile. Backlinks are links from other reputable websites that point to your site, signaling to search engines that your business is trustworthy and authoritative. This includes submitting your business’s name, address, and phone number (NAP) on directories and local listings like Yelp or Houzz. These signals help increase your visibility in local searches, attract more potential customers, and ultimately drive more leads and sales.
What Else Does SEO Involve?
SEO as a practice can be hugely varied and sometimes technically complicated. There are a myriad of on page and off page factors believed to carry weight in Google ranking algorithms, and almost limitless budgets can be expended in pursuit of achieving excellence in all of them.
At Lead Wolf we understand that most of our clients don’t have enormous budgets, and need them spent where returns are likely to be highest. For those clients who want extra focus on this, we are happy to work with them on a strategy that involves them and is likely to maximise their returns in terms of quality, local leads.
